Purpose
Ready to showcase your creativity and support Vancouver’s iconic Granville Entertainment District while winning big? Our Granville Street Video Contest invites you to spotlight the vibrant businesses that make this area a cultural hub. Create a short-form video to share your favourite Granville Street business, and you could win $1000! It’s the perfect opportunity to showcase local businesses and celebrate the heart of downtown Vancouver.
How It Works:
- Contest Dates: February 18 – March 18, 2025
- Prizes: Five lucky winners will each receive a $1,000 gift card to the Granville Street business featured in their video!
- Judging Criteria: Creativity, originality, and video quality will be key! Extra points for videos that offer a unique perspective on Granville Street and engage your audience.
- Winners Announced: On Downtown Van’s social media channels and contacted directly.
Contest Rules:
Content Requirements:
- Your video should be at least 15 seconds long and must feature a business located on Granville Street.
- The video has to be posted on your feed, not just on stories.
- Make it engaging, authentic, and creative—show us what makes Granville Street special!
- Keep it positive—no slander, bad reviews, or negative imagery.
- No profanities allowed.
Where to Post & How to Tag:
- Post your video on Instagram and/or TikTok.
- Tag @DowntownVan and the business featured in your video to make your entry valid!
Eligibility:
- You must be 18+ years old.
- Contest is open to Greater Vancouver Area residents (this includes Vancouver and surrounding municipalities).
- You cannot be an employee of the Granville Street business for which you are creating the video.
Contest Boundaries:
Only businesses along Granville Street (Waterfront Station to Drake St) on the Downtown Peninsula are eligible (Pacific Centre is excluded). Check our membership page here for full details on district boundaries.
Additional Rules:
- By entering, you agree to let Downtown Van use your video for promotional purposes across social media, with full credit given to you.
- Each video submission is a separate entry, so feel free to submit as many as you like!
