Consistently recognized as one of Vancouver’s top hair salons, LURE Salon has built a reputation for excellence in beauty, fashion, and film.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Linda has spent her entire career working in downtown. Reflecting on her early years in the industry, she says, “downtown Vancouver was the place to be” as it was progressive and filled with many talented designers she could learn from. She adds, “I always knew that if I wanted to be the best at my craft, it was important to be and work with like minded people.”
Linda met Dan in the early 2000s, and after working together for several years, the pair decided to open LURE Salon. In 2027, they will celebrate the salon’s 19th anniversary. She shares that both she and Dan “are both passionate about [their] industry and believe with hard work and continuous education is the key to a long successful career”.
Today, LURE is Vancouver’s award-winning destination for luxury hair and beauty. Their team of experts brings world-class artistry to every guest, with artists working backstage at New York, London, Milan, and Paris Fashion Weeks, as well as collaborating on film and television productions to create hair and makeup looks for acclaimed actors and productions. “LURE Salon is where fashion, film, and beauty come together,” Linda explains.
Looking ahead, Linda says they look forward to seeing their business grow and flourish, maintaining “LURE’s position as one of Vancouver’s leading salons while passing on the education, knowledge, and experience that my partner and I have been fortunate enough to gain throughout our careers,” she says. Having been mentored by industry icons including Oribe Canales, Guido Palau, and Damien Boissino, Linda and Dan are committed to sharing what they have learned with the next generation. Ultimately, their goal is “to one day pass the reins to some of [their] most talented team members and watch them continue to elevate the industry.”
To them, one of the greatest rewards of their work is “seeing the joy and confidence on a client’s face when they are thrilled with their hair. Building lasting relationships with [their] clients and being part of their lives is something [they] never take for granted.” Another career highlight is being recognized as one of Vancouver’s top salons as well as being able to work with incredible celebrities including Pamela Anderson, Michelle Monaghan, Hilary Swank, Julia Garner, Mika Abdalla, and many others.
From local clients to international runways and film sets, Linda and Dan have built LURE into one of Vancouver’s most respected salons, shaped by decades of passion, education, and artistry.
