David’s entire career, spanning 30 years has been in the printing industry.
When David was five, he moved to Vancouver and has called it home ever since. “I’ve spent 35 of the last 40 years working right here in downtown Vancouver. Thinking back, things were definitely quieter then, but it’s been exciting to witness the incredible hustle and bustle and how much businesses have transformed.”
“It’s been fascinating to see the printing industry evolve too, from traditional black and white to large format printing and all the new tech” he adds.
For David, the energy of downtown is one of his favourite things—seeing people constantly coming and going. “It’s also great that after work, there are so many places to check out on the way home,” he shares. Outside of work, David is a fan of Vancouver’s local sports teams, especially the Whitecaps, and enjoys exploring the city’s vibrant restaurant and hospitality scene.
David works as a Printing Advisor at The Printing House (TPH), a Canadian-owned and operated company that has been serving Vancouver businesses for over 50 years. TPH specializes in custom print solutions, and as David proudly puts it, “it’s our job to make our customers look good, and we take immense pride in it!” A highlight of working at TPH for David is the satisfaction of helping customers bring their ideas to life, as well as the camaraderie among his coworkers—many of whom have worked together for over a decade.
Looking ahead, David is simply curious and excited about what’s next. “We’re always growing and changing at TPH, and customers are constantly coming up with new and exciting ideas” he says.
