Downtown Vancouver recently got a whole lot more buttery and delicious!
Parisian-style bakery and cafe Beaucoup Bakery opened its second location inside the historic St. Regis Hotel (600 Dunsmuir Street).
“This project has been a long time coming, and we are so excited to have opened our doors at St. Regis Hotel and highlight our creations in downtown Vancouver – the reception has been incredible so far,” explains pastry chef Betty Hung, who co-owners Beaucoup Bakery with her brother, Jacky Hung. “The space is beautiful, and we hope it’ll remind people a little bit of their travels to Europe, while they sip on coffee and snack on pastries.”
Guests visiting the 1,300 square-foot space can expect all of Beaucoup Bakery’s favourite classics available for take-out and/or sitdown at one of it seven seats or sidewalk patio, including butter croissants, pain au chocolat, and kouign amann, as well new cakes and mini chocolate treats. Sandwiches and lunch items to come.
Designed by award-winning design firm Ste. Marie Studio, Beaucoup Bakery St. Regis features soft neutral colours, contemporary edges throughout, and timeless materials, such as marble and brass. The red and white patio awning is an ode to its original location. Vancouver’s renowned agency Glasfurd & Walker is heading up the branding.
