The Final Outdoor Movie Nights of the Summer
Following the success of this year’s Summer Movie Nights, Downtown Van is excited to host two final outdoor screenings to wrap up the season. This time, the movies will take place at Lot 19 (855 W Hastings) and will feature a selection of indie and international films for a more intimate cinema experience.

Join us before the film at 5 PM for an outdoor board game gathering! Board games will be available for use but we encourage you to bring your favourites. Surrounding this will be live music, food, lawn games and more.
September 11, 2025
Before the film from 5:00 – 7:30 PM, we will be presenting our third poetry writing workshop of the season, led by poet Christine Bissonnette from 9CreativeLives and composer Georgy Manterola. Learn to write an original poem, then learn how to bring it to life by speaking it out loud with musical accompaniment by Georgy.
Theme: The experience of being truly seen by another.
Lot 19 (855 W Hastings) is a designated Drinking in Public Plazas site. You are welcome to bring your own drinks, enjoy take-out from local businesses, socialize, have a picnic, and enjoy the urban outdoors.
