You’re invited! Join us for Downtown Van’s 37th Annual General Meeting + Mayoral Forum
Downtown Van’s Annual General Meeting is happening on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025. Enjoy delicious canapés, cocktails, and the opportunity to connect with fellow members.
With the municipal election coming up in October, we’ll also be hosting a Mayoral Forum at this event, giving members the opportunity to hear directly from the candidates running for mayor.

- 3:30- 4:10 PM: Registration & Networking
- Voter registration begins 3:15 PM, door closes at 4:15 PM.
- 4:10 – 4:45 PM: Annual General Meeting
- 4:45 – 6:15 PM: Mayoral Forum
- 6:15 – 7:00 PM: Networking
AGM Notice
Notice is hereby given that the 37th Annual General Meeting of Downtown Van (Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association) will be held at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, September 29th, 2026, at Terminal City Club for the following purposes:
- Review Downtown Van’s activities for the past year.
- Receive and approved the Auditor’s Report for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026.
- Appoint an auditor for the coming year.
- Review and adopt the proposed 2027-2028 budget.
- Elect five (5) and re-elect five (5) Directors.
- Transact such further and other business that may properly come before the meeting and any adjournments thereof.
During the AGM, the Association will elect five (5) directors to the Board; one (1) director to be elected who is a commercial property owner, and four (4) directors to be elected who are business tenants. The Association opened written nominations for directors from voting members on August 1, 2026. Nominations closed September 1, 2026.

The AGM is where our members and their assigned voters can gather to vote on motions to allow for the continuation of the Downtown Van organization.

Voters are the main contact for each organization. Unsure if you’re the voter? Please sign into the member portal under “log in” on the right-hand side of our website, or email Jennifer Lai (jennifer@dtvan.ca).

If you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you assign a Proxy Holder for your organization – this is one person you will assign your voting right to who will attend the AGM on behalf of your organization. Downtown Van can also assign a proxy voter on your behalf. If you’d like Downtown Van to assign one for you, please leave the proxy name blank on the second line of the proxy form.
