Meet Chris, someone who has spent nearly his entire career learning, growing and cooking in the downtown core.

Born and raised in North Vancouver, Chris has “always felt deeply connected to the city”. That connection only deepened when, at 18, he made the move to downtown Vancouver with “nothing more than a dishwashing job and a willingness to work hard”. What could have been just another role quickly became something more, a passion for the culinary world.

Fast forward to today, and Chris is an integral part of Stock & Supply as Executive Chef, a restaurant that, in his words, “proudly breaks the mold of a traditional hotel restaurant.” Tucked inside the Delta Hotels Vancouver Downtown Suites, Stock & Supply is anything but expected.

“From bold Stock Boards to thoughtful local beverages, Stock & Supply delivers a fresh, modern, and uniquely Vancouver experience,” Chris shares. Every dish is crafted from scratch, shaped by close relationships with local suppliers whose ingredients inspire many of the dishes. But what truly sets it apart for Chris is the culture. “There’s no stuffiness— instead, it’s a creative playground.” This sense of openness gives the team space to experiment, collaborate, and grow.

Stock & Supply is known for their Stock Boards, beautifully curated share boards that are entirely customizable with different provisions. Stand outs include their signature Chorizo Scotch Egg and their Maple Smoked Island Brie. And the experience doesn’t stop at the food. Stock & Supply’s beverage program is entirely local, showcasing the very best of British Columbia. The intention is clear: to create a dining experience that feels authentic, immersive, and “feel distinctly West Coast”.

Chris is optimistic for the years ahead. He’s excited for “even more growth and development in the downtown core” and is “hopeful about people returning to their offices and rediscovering their neighbourhood”. He also reflects on what makes the city so special: “there’s something special about a lively downtown full of people. Vancouver is beautiful and sometimes we forget to appreciate how lucky we are to live and work here. I’m looking forward to being part of its next chapter.”
