Take a Free Guided Tour of the Orpheum

The Orpheum, a designated National Heritage Site, was built in 1927. Each year the theatre hosts international musicians, popular concerts and unique events; it is also home to the beloved Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.

The 90 minute walking tours are led by the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame and reveal some secrets of the theatre’s history. One story includes Frank Sinatra almost being kicked out of the theatre for breaking dressing room lights while he practiced his golf swing!

Reservations are encouraged but not required as walk-up patrons will be accepted at the door as long as space permits. As this tour takes place in an operating theatre, some sections of the building may be inaccessible.

This program is presented in partnership with Downtown Van and the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame.

*Please meet guides at the Granville Street entrance.

*Please note that this tour includes walking and stair climbing.
