Notice is hereby given that the 36th Annual General Meeting of Downtown Van will be held at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre.
Downtown Van members are invited to join us on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025 for our Annual General Meeting and Awards Ceremony. Enjoy delicious canapés, cocktails, and the opportunity to connect with fellow members. Learn more about the winners of our 2025 Appreciation Awards here.
Event Details
- When: Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, from 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Where: Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre – Pavillion Ballroom (1000 Burrard)
Event Schedule
- Registration & Networking: 3:30 PM – 4:15 PM (please arrive by 4:00 PM)
- Welcome and Annual General Meeting: 4:15 – 4:50 PM
- Appreciation Award Ceremony: 4:50 PM – 5:30 PM
- Networking: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
AGM Notice
Notice is hereby given that the 36th Annual General Meeting of Downtown Van (Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association) will be held at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre for the following purposes:
- Review Downtown Van’s activities for the past year
- Receive and approve the Auditor’s Report for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025
- Appoint an auditor for the coming year
- Review and adopt the proposed 2026-2027 budget
- Elect five (5) Directors
- Transact such further and other business that may properly come before the meeting and any adjournments thereof
During the AGM, the Association will elect five (5) Directors to the Board; two (2) Directors to be elected are commercial property owners, and three (3) Directors to be elected who are business tenants. The Association invites written nominations for Directors from voting members. Nomination and membership application forms are available by emailing dvbia@dtvan.ca no later than July 27, 2025.

The AGM is where our members and their assigned voters can gather to vote on motions to allow for the continuation of the Downtown Van organization.

Voters are the main contact for each organization. Unsure if you’re the voter? Please sign into the member portal under “log in” on the right-hand side of our website, or email Jennifer Lai (jennifer@dtvan.ca).

If you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you assign a Proxy Holder for your organization – this is one person you will assign your voting right to who will attend the AGM on behalf of your organization. Downtown Van can also assign a proxy voter on your behalf. If you’d like Downtown Van to assign one for you, please leave the proxy name blank on the second line of the proxy form.
