Summer Movie Nights
Downtown Vancouver’s most iconic and totally free outdoor movie series is back!
Presented by Downtown Van, this beloved free outdoor movie series returns to šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square (formerly the Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza), running every Thursday evening from July 16 – August 13.
What: Summer Movie Nights is a free outdoor movie event where movies are played on a 33-foot inflatable screen. Each night, activities kick off at 5 PM, featuring live music, performances, games, food trucks, and more, followed by the movie screening at sundown (around 9 PM).
When: Thursday evenings, July 16—Aug 13, 2026. Movies begin at sundown, with performances and activities beginning at 5 pm
