Sandra Treto, owner of local business Refill Road, moved from Monterrey, Mexico to Canada in 2006.
While in Vancouver, Sandra began practicing a more mindful and conscious lifestyle- one that focused on preserving the earth. Just like many, Sandra consumed single-use plastics like plastic bags and bottles. However, to do her part in protecting the planet, she corrected her personal habits hoping to inspire friends and family to follow in her footsteps. Sandra started taking classes and watching tutorials on how to make everything at-home and from scratch including laundry detergent and other personal-hygiene products. From there, Sandra started her own business, Refill Road.
Refill Road is a local business with a passion to help others along their zero-waste journey. Refill Road cares a lot about the environment, manufacturing, sourcing, and selling items they think will make a sustainable impact. Their goal is to make it easy for customers to obtain good, healthy, simple, clever, and cost-effective items that have a minimal impact on the planet. With their commitment to sustainability, Refill Road minimizes their own waste by restricting their suppliers from using single-use plastics. Customers can expect to find the same products in-store and online and are encouraged to bring their own container for refills.
