Call for blood donors working in downtown vancouver

With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, many employees are returning to work at offices in downtown Vancouver.

Returning to the office is a welcome relief to some people who are tired of working from home while coping with this pandemic.

Each of us hopes for our “new normal” to arrive as soon as possible. Many hospital patients are holding out for hope that only blood donors can provide.

Donors are a vital link in Canada’s Lifeline

New and returning donors working downtown are encouraged to book an appointment at Canadian Blood Services downtown donor centre at #200 – 888 Dunsmuir Street in Vancouver.

Thanks to donors, there is enough blood on the shelves to meet patients’ needs today. But there is an immediate need to fill all open appointments to ensure the national blood supply meets demand and ongoing patient needs.

Same day and open appointment spots are available every day at many donor centres and community events in the Lower Mainland.

Hospital patients are grateful for Canadians who take the time to donate blood, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.  As you return to your new normal, please make time to help save a life.

If you’re in general good health, please book and honour your appointment to help patients. Download the GiveBlood app, call 1 888 2 DONATE (1-888-236-6283) or book now at blood.ca.
