It was a successful second year of downtown’s December floral trail.

From December 4th to 13th, 2020, the DVBIA hosted the second annual Fleurs de Villes: Noël outdoor event.

Spectators were able to stop by to take in a self guided floral trail installation along the Alberni corridor and beyond. This year, the event expanded to include additional stops such as Pacific Centre, Victoria’s Secret and various locations along Robson Street.

The trail of 32 stunning floral installations featured the work of 15 local Vancouver florists that brought festive joy to the neighbourhood when it was very much needed. The socially spaced and festive floral trail was a spectacular and uplifting end to 2020, with total impression of almost 12 million people online.

Karen Marshall, Fleurs de Villes Co-Founder said that the Noël event “is always a celebration of joy.  Flowers have a magical power which people are attracted to from all walks of life, cultures and ages.  They unite and inspire.  Designed as a self-guided, socially-spaced fresh floral trail, it was so wonderful to see a variety of business in the downtown core of Vancouver support and unite behind Fleurs de Villes Noël to create what is fast becoming a much loved annual event.  As a locally based business, working in cities around the world, it is always a pleasure to do this show in our own backyard.”

This year, The Sutton Place Hotel hosted two breathtaking floral mannequins and participated as presenting partners. Susan Strome, General Manager voiced her enthusiasm for this years and future events: “Our hospitality teams at The Sutton Place Hotel and Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar were delighted to be chosen as one of the presenting partners at the 2020 Noël Floral Trail by the incredible team at Fleurs de Villes, and for the opportunity to partner with Kim Crawford wines and serve members of our media community delicious holiday mulled wine. Through their breathtaking floral installations and a firm commitment to Health and Safety, the team at Fleurs de Villes inspired Vancouverites to venture downtown, smile, and celebrate the magic of the holidays during an otherwise challenging year. Thank you, Karen and Tina; we look forward to supporting next year’s Floral Trail.”
